Parked Recording.
Without the Guesswork.

How parking mode, compatible power equipment and battery condition work together.

When the Engine Is Off

Parking Recording Needs a Power Plan.

Vehicle Battery
Compatible Power Kit
Supported Parking Mode

Some cameras can record events or time-lapse footage while parked when connected to compatible equipment. The exact behaviour depends on the camera, power kit and chosen settings. A cigarette-lighter connection may switch off with the ignition and should not be assumed to provide parking recording.

Understand the Limits

Battery Protection Is a Safeguard, Not a Promise.

Low-Voltage Cut-Off

A compatible hardwire kit may stop supplying power below its configured threshold. Battery age, state of charge, temperature, vehicle electronics and short journeys can still affect starting ability.

Recording Duration Varies

There is no universal “24 hours” guarantee. Camera consumption, settings and available power all matter. Some compatible setups use a dedicated battery pack; discuss the correct solution before buying.

Your Aftercare Routine

Keep the Setup Working for You.

01

Check the Agreed Settings

Refer to the handover and product instructions. Do not raise the cut-off setting or change wiring without checking the effect with an installer or the manufacturer.

02

Notice Changes

If the vehicle starts slowly, gives battery warnings or is used mainly for short trips, stop relying on extended parking recording and arrange a battery or setup check.

03

Review the Camera

Check recordings, date and time periodically. Follow the manufacturer’s memory-card guidance and save important footage before any formatting.

This explains general principles. Your exact model’s manual and the agreed installation settings take precedence. Contact us with your job reference for help with the setup we fitted.
